Graduation!

Daniel and I graduated from Brigham Young University–Idaho April 10th with a Bachelors in Fine Art. It was really fun graduating together. We were able to sit by each other and share a sweetie bag (a bag with lots of different candy in it). About a hour after commencement Daniel got a phone call from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) saying the he got accepted and they offered him a sizable scholarship. We are still waiting to hear from Art Center in Pasadena, CA. So, we haven't made a decision yet but at least we have a very nice option of going to Savannah for graduate school for Daniel.

Sewing Insects

This is my last school assignment ever! I took sewing objects and created fictitious insects out of them. This was for my final in Digital Illustration.

Two Years Ago

This is one of my favorite wedding pictures. Daniel and I have been married for two years now. Twice as long as last year. Daniel surprised me this morning with a new ipod. He definitely went over budget on that one. But my old one died a couple weeks ago. I got him a ton of candy. At least 10 pounds. He was bouncing off the walls. Overall it has been a great two years.

Pot Head

I woke up this morning with three inches of snow on the ground and decided to make the most of it. I used a pot Daniel threw away for a hat. Hopefully I won't be able to make any more snowmen this year.

Daniel's Birthday

Daniel is now a quarter of a century old. For his birthday he wanted me to make a rice crispy treat cake in the shape of a sphere. He is very creative. So I tried my best to create his idea. I think I was successful. I used cocoa crispys for my center then capn' crunch and rice crispys for the outer layer. It was a total of 4 batches of rice crispy treats. That is a total of 24 cups of cereal and 16 cups of mini marshmallows. yikes.

BFA Show!

This is my BFA project. It is all about creating and why we do it. It was highly influenced by a talk given by Dieter F. Uchtdorf called Happiness, Your Heritage. I interviewed nine people that are all different ages and create different things. I designed a book with the talk and interviews in it. For the display I pulled images and quotes from the book and placed them in picture frames I found at thrift stores that I painted. It was a lot of work and lots of fun. More pictures to follow.

Baby Blessing Dress

I finished my blessing dress in the children's clothing class I'm taking. My big sock creature (made of hiking socks) is the only thing I have that could model my dress.
