Bow Tie Buddies

My graphic design teacher, Scott Franson, really liked my sock creatures so I customized one for him. The bow tie is real, on both of them.

Word of the Week: Climbing

Sloths were the first things that came to my mind when I thought of the word climbing. The technique we had to use for this assignment was the paper-cut look.

pale-ephant

This is my first assignment in digital illustration. We had to take the word 'pale' from Illustration Friday's word of the week, and draw a picture using that as our concept and create the image using the linoleum block technique.

Our First Pet

This little lady bug, also called a lady bird, has been living in our apartment since probably October. Every once in awhile we'll find him hanging out in the carpet or chillin' in the window. It's fun having him around. The other day I spent a good 20 minutes watching him crawl around our little pregnant onion plant. Daniel was able to snap me out of it so I could get back to my homework.

Baby Booties & Hat

I made some baby booties and a baby hat for my child clothing class I'm taking, so if you are wondering, no, I'm not pregnant. I decided to have one of my sock peeps model them.

"Linoleum Block" test

This is a technique I learned in my digital illustration class. It is meant to imitate the look of a linoleum block print. The design was strongly influenced by a T-shirt Elizabeth House did for Asher in the Rye.  This was just a practice piece I did in class.

Sock Peeps

These are the first three sock things I made. Noid is the red guy, Philip is the handicapped one, and noodle bear is the striped one.
