Holland!

Daniel and I are staying at my parents house this summer and working for my Dad. In the fall we are going to Savannah Georgia for Daniel's graduate school at SCAD. It feels nice to finally have some plans figured out. We are both really excited about Savannah. Anyway, we took a little day trip to Holland! (Michigan) The city was celebrating their Tulip Festival. There was thousands of tulips, people dressed in their dutch wear with wooden shoes of course, and clog dancers. My favorite was the windmill. It was exported from the Netherlands and is about 250 years old and is still in working condition.

Holland is about 2.5 hours. So it was a fun little day trip. I'm trying to take Daniel to all the cool festivals that Michigan has. Most of them I haven't even been to.

It looks like you guys had fun! I wish I'd taken full advantage of what MI has to offer while I lived there. I didn't go much farther than good ol' Clare - which is probably why I never want to live in MI. :) Check out my blog sometime practicalplaid.blogspot.com

Hey, if you get bored of MI, you are welcomed to crash at our place and check out NYC!

That really looks like it was a fun activity. Emma doesn't think the shoes look very comfy though. I wonder if she could clog in them?? The tulips are beautiful. I like the photo Dan took of you in the midst of the tulips. I enjoy reading about your adventures.
