New Apartment!

Daniel and I moved to a new apartment and it is amazing! It consists of the right side of this bungelo. It is just around the corner from our old apartment so it is still in downtown Savannah. In our three years of marriage I feel that we have finally upgraded. Before this ever apartment we moved in to kept getting smaller. The house was built in the late 1800's and was recently renovated. It has two bedrooms, one bath, a big front living area and an amazing kitchen. I feel that being able to live here is a huge blessing in our lives.

National Doughnut Day!

Daniel and I celebrated National Doughnut Day today and each got a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme. I figured they would just give us a plain glazed doughnut, but they let us pick any doughnut in the case! My eyes lit up. We both tried out their new lemon doughnut. This might be my new favorite holiday.

Savannah Fashion Show

Some of the local boutiques in Savannah, including the one I work for, got together and put on a fashion show. It was an awesome event. Here is a link to some more pictures of the night.

Three Years Later

Daniel and I are celebrating our three year anniversary! We went to the beach this morning and had fun laying out since its too cold to get in the water. Then we went to this awesome little french cafe downtown for lunch. We sat next to a group of older couples and we talked a little bit. I mentioned that it was our three year anniversary. They looked at us and asked again how long and I said three years. Then one of the guys asked if we even knew each other yet. I laughed and thought that was really funny. Then I asked how long he and his wife have been married and he said forever, and then told me they have been married for 48 years. I'm excited to celebrate 48 years with Daniel some day plus eternity!

1,000 Day Anniversary!

Daniel surprised me this morning with Muffin Bunny!!! It is a gift for our 1,000 Day Anniversary plus 42 days because Daniel miscalculated. It is the softest, funniest little stuffed bunny ever. Its from the company jellycat which we carry at the store I work at. I've been wanting him ever since we got him in. Thank you Honey Bunny!

Christmas Pics

Merry belated Christmas!

We drove up to my parents house in Michigan and took Cosmo with us. For the most part he was a pretty good road trip buddy.

This is a mouse I made Cosmo. It only took him a couple days to completely destroy it. I even bought real wool felt hoping that it would be more durable.

It was been a tradition in my family to make the nieces and nephews Christmas ornaments. My Aunts did it for me growing up so now I have an awesome stash of ornaments that were mostly all hand made. So I'm trying to keep the tradition going. These are the ornaments I made for my nieces and nephews this year. Little Christmas birds.

Some of Daniel's goodies he got for Christmas. My Mom didn't have the energy to put together stockings this year so she said I could do them if I wanted. So I got everyone nerf guns and a cheesy $5 DVD and some candy. There were 7 of us and we had an all out war with our nerf guns. It was really fun. I remember growing up and all 5 of my brothers would get nerf guns and there would be darts and nerf balls flying all over the house but I was always left defenseless. So it was fun this year to be part of that.

Thanksgiving

Daniel and I weren't sure what we were going to do this year for Thanksgiving. Then one of his classmates and his wife didn't have anywhere to go either so they came over to our place. They brought over 5lbs of snow crab legs! I'll take that over dry turkey any day.

The remains of the poor little crab legs.

My beautiful turkey and cheese platter (not really). Daniel made fun of me for getting turkey at the deli for thanksgiving, but it was a lot better and easier than anything I could have made.

It's not Thanksgiving without homemade rolls. This is my first attempt and there is definitely room for improvement.

Daniel's amazing parmesan and garlic potato wedges.

Neither of us really like pumpkin pie so I made an icecream pie instead. It was amazing.

This is a Thanksgiving tree I made in Young Womens. It is a tree branch in a little pot and then you write what you are thankful for on the leaves.
